Driving is a very fragile activity that requires the at-most attention and experience if you are get along with the traffic officers or avoid falling victim of a car collision or accident. As such only validated drivers are allowed on the roads, a person with experience and well registered in the traffic system.
Before you embark on self drive trip in Uganda, you will be required to have valid driver permit and personal identification like passport or national ID. As per for foreigners, companies will require the International Drivers Licence; a document that allows you to drive in any foreign country.
Scanned copies of all these documents will be requested by the company plus originals will be inspected before the car keys are handed over.
So if you plan on driving in Uganda, you better have all the above documents ready.
